Tens of thousands of people in different countries of the world arranged shares and demonstrations on November 6 as part of a global day for justice in relation to climate (Global Day for Climate Justice). Promotions with a request to take measures to protect the ecology took place in the Philippines, South Korea, Indonesia, the Netherlands, France and Belgium, reports The Guardian.

The key protest was a demonstration in Glasgow, the largest city in Scotland, where the main climatic summit is held from October 31 to November 12-the 26th World Climate Conference (COP26). The organizers are far from the first protest in Glasgow hoped that the demonstration would collect 100 thousand people. People from other cities of Scotland and the rest of Great Britain arrived on the march. So, 18-year-old Alex Sidney arrived in Glasgow from Manchester, overcoming 214 kilometers on a bicycle to prove that you can travel without carbon emissions.

Before the march in Glasgow, about 20 people in laboratory robes from the Scientist Rebellion movement (“uprising of scientists”) constrained each other with chains and blocked the bridge of King George V, urging people “rebel against the system that kills everything”. Scotland police opposed the protesting on the bridge, writes BBC News. During the march, participants with flags and banners walked along the streets. Some held in their hands posters in the spirit of "I did not see a white bear, but I would like to" and "every catastrophe film begins with the fact that someone ignores the scientist."

During the World Climate Conference, world leaders promised to limit the cutting of forests, gradually reduce coal consumption, stop financing the production of fossil fuel types and reduce methane emissions by 30%. These measures are far from what countries need to be done in order to limit the growth of global average temperature within 1.5 degrees - such a goal is faced with the participants of the Paris Climate Agreement, adopted in 2015. It was signed by 196 countries, including Russia.
