At the end of October, Russia was held in Russia by the annual “Return of Names” memory of victims of political repression in the USSR. Its organizer, the Memorial human rights center (declared a foreign agent) - also published an updated list of Russian political prisoners . Now it has 420 people, and taking into account the fact that not all are included in the list, the real number most likely corresponds to the indicators of the late USSR.

"Medusa" asked readers to tell a personal story about the repressed in their families. We received several hundred letters, many of which were painful to read. Some touched the love that families were able to preserve, despite all the trials. The presenter of the Podkasta “Text of the Week” Alexander Filimonov shared the ten by the most impressive letters.
