The Ministry of Justice complemented the lists of foreign agents

The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation complemented the registers of foreign agents. They included lawyer Ivan Pavlov, former employees of the team 29 and the Russian LGBT network.

On November 8, Ivan Pavlov, Maxim of the Conspiracy, Valeria Vetoshkina, Elena Skvortsova and Maxim Olenichev are included in the register of the media. Ivan Pavlov is a St. Petersburg lawyer and founder of “team 29”. In April of this year, Pavlov was detained in Moscow as part of a criminal case on the disclosure of the data of a preliminary investigation. Among the high -profile cases that the lawyer at that time was the criminal case of the former journalist and adviser to the head of Roscosmos Ivan Safronov, accused of Goseman. In September, Pavlov said that he had left Russia.

In mid-July, the association of lawyers and journalists “team 29”, which headed Pavlov, closed six years later-due to the threat of criminal prosecution of employees and supporters. Over the years, they participated in dozens of resonant trials - including in cases of Stateizer, espionage and extremism.

The Russian LGBT network entered unregistered public associations performing the functions of a foreign agent. This is the only third organization on the list-earlier the Voice movement and the OVD-info media project were included there. The Russian LGBT network supports the elimination of discrimination on sexual orientation and gender identity, the spread of the ideas of tolerance in Russia.

LGBTS repeatedly talked about the persecution of LGBT in Chechnya. In 2020, the organization reported that teachers in the Nevsky district of St. Petersburg were instructed to monitor the pages of schoolchildren in social networks for LGBT-Simvoliki. In the spring of 2021, the St. Petersburg prosecutor's office demanded to ban Russian LGBT networks on Facebook for the involvement of adolescents “in a destructive lifestyle”, but then withdrew the lawsuit.

At the beginning of the year, Elena Skvortsova was expelled from the evening department of the Journalist of the SPbSU, putting her impossible conditions for production practice. Skvortsova connected the deduction with her activist activity - the problems began after the student’s detention on the rally in support of Azat Miftakhov.
