A court in St. Petersburg canceled the termination of the administrative case against the Humanitarian Action Charitable Foundation, recognized by the NGO as a “foreign agent”, and sent it for a new trial. This was reported by the Public Verdict Foundation.
In October 2021, a meeting was held in the Petrogradsky District Court of St. Petersburg on violating the procedure for the activities of an NPO-“foreign agent” (Article 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). At that time, the court did not find any elements of the offense in the protocol - it decided that Humanitarian Action was not engaged in political activities. The case was dropped.
Prior to this, in the summer of 2021, the Oktyabrsky District Court denied the fund an attempt to challenge the status of a “foreign agent”.
The interests of "Humanitarian Action" are represented in court by the lawyer of the "Public Verdict" Maxim Krupsky. The defense plans to appeal the termination of the administrative case.
