Sasha laughs and plays the war. Shoots at Dasha from a toy pistol.
- Dye, mom, die! - Sasha is capricious.
Dasha laughs, but does not move from the place:
- No, daughter, you can’t kill me with simple bullets.
The village of Cools, in which Daria lived before moving photo: Anna Ivantsova for TDA small wooden house on the outskirts of Demidov, a small city in the Smolensk region, does not stand out against the background of others. Inside there are two stoves, there is no gas - you have to use cylinders. The toilet on the street is a tiny shed literally blown by all the winds. The soul and even more so there is no bath. Bright colors too. This is probably why the room of three -year -old Sasha is so striking.
On the walls, light green wallpaper with fiery red foxes, everywhere a variegated scattering of toys, and Sasha herself-like a flash in her pink cardigan with Love inscriptions. In the family, her name is a nugget: at three years old, the girl assures that she is nine, she says, she says, all the time invents something.
Dasha always loved children and long ago made her daughter. At some point, the hope that the dream will come out almost faded: a suspicion of infertility. She tried to be treated, tried to conceive, but nothing happened. And then, at twenty -eight years old, I found out that I was pregnant.
Pregnancy began with experiences. At first, grandfather died, then, in the fifth month, Dasha was left alone: the biological father of Sasha decided that he did not need a child, left for his native Ukraine, and the connection with him finally broke off.
Daria with daughter Sasha photo: Anna Ivantsova for TDDasha temporarily moved to the dying village of Cools near Demidova. There are no hospitals and schools, only four left of all houses, but relatives could help in the village - mother and grandmother.
- Apparently, against the backdrop of experiences, I began to have heart problems. At first, doctors did not particularly pay attention to them: “You wear a child under your heart, all sorts of difficulties against the background of pregnancy are normal.” The child was four months old, when one of the examinations turned out that after all, not everything was in order.
Dasha began to travel to the doctors - Smolensk, Moscow. Diagnosed serious heart rhythm disturbances. The heart “with nothing began to beat often,” up to 200 strokes per minute, and then suddenly slowed down to 28 (as the holter showed, a device for cardio studies). Most often, Dasha badly became in a horizontal position: it was worth living, the heart gave a failure again.
And then fear came: to leave the daughter alone.
Daria photo: Anna Ivantsova for TD- I was scared to sleep. Often I slept sitting and woke up when my heart accelerated again. My grandmother and my mother helped with my child, but, as the doctors told me, any attack of tachycardia could become the last for me. I was scared that my daughter would lose me. While Sasha at least not fulfilled for eighteen years, I can’t die.
Doctors suggested Dasha to make the rh of the heart. On the operating table, it suddenly became clear that local anesthesia did not work in the groin.
- I groaned in pain. The doctor asked: it hurts? I replied: it hurts. But the doctor could not do anything: he had to continue.
Daria at home : Anna Ivantsova for TDDasha suffered for the sake of her daughter. She really wanted to live. There have been no 100 % guarantees that Dasha will recover after the operation, but since the operation has passed, there has been no heart problems. But for treatment and life in Moscow, during the examinations, I had to pay from my pocket.
Dasha took a loan of 30 thousand and a credit card - for another 50. She worked as a cook in a local sanatorium, and it seemed that over time it would be possible to pay with debts. Dasha really wanted her daughter to live well, and decided to buy a dilapidated house in Demidov in a mortgage. She could not afford better.
Dasha dreamed of renovating the house and settling there with her daughter, but in 2020 a pandemic began, then quarantine, and the guests stopped letting the guests into the sanatorium. Dasha did not have work, and loans with a mortgage did not disappear.
Familiar still during Dasha’s absences to Moscow began to ask: “You are not afraid that the child will be taken away from you, that the guardianship will intervene?”
Daria at home : Anna Ivantsova for TDFear has become more, stronger.
- Once on the bus, I accidentally heard about the “Our Children” fund. I decided to seek help. I called the fund and said: “There is, a small child, an unfinished house, and a bunch of debts and loans. And there is nothing more. ” After a couple of days, a social teacher Nadezhda came to me.
Dasha came to the “Our Children” fund with a specific request: to help with the repair of the house. She was promised to help.
- As a result, the fund made a lot of things in our life: we bought a drywall, brought children's wallpaper, a bed for Sasha, and in the summer we helped with a plowing of the garden.
Ekaterina Andreevna and Sasha Photo: Anna Ivantsova for TDNow Dasha felt that she had an rear and support. She found a job at a local enterprise to pack soft toys and met a young man who married her and adopted little Sasha. His girl calls her dad.
It began to seem that life was working out, and the need for the help of the fund seemed to have disappeared. But in the summer problems began again. First, my grandmother fell ill: she was hospitalized with coronavirus.
Then there was a trouble with little Sasha.
- My husband and daughter and I temporarily moved to the hostel. It was necessary to prepare the house for the move. We do not have a washing machine there, I always washed my hands. I put it to bask the water - I just put a boiler in the basin. Sasha was going to walk, my niece just came behind her, she was older. The daughter took the scooter, took a just couple of steps and crashed into the door jamb, bounced back-and we have a small room-and sat right in a basin with boiling water.
The village of Cools, in which Daria lived before moving photo: Anna Ivantsova for TDThe ambulance arrived quickly. Dasha and her daughter were taken to Smolensk. They were met in the hospital coldly: “Again, this is your bad Demidov. Are you cooking children there? "
Dasha asked if there was a threat to life for her girl, and she was briefly answered: "There is."
Sasha with a burn of 30 percent was immediately put in intensive care, one. Dasha persuaded her to spend the night on her free bed in one of the departments, but in the morning the doctors sent her home. It was not allowed to stay with her daughter.
Dasha could not see and hear anyone, neither relatives nor friends. I did not want to disturb the problems until everything clears up. She was unable to listen to advice or criticism. I called a taxi, went to the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and began to pray for Sasha.
Sasha photo: Anna Ivantsova for TDLeaving the cathedral, Dasha stopped at a loss.
“I wanted to talk to someone, but there was no one to talk to.” And I suddenly decided to call Nadia from the fund. Nadia could not talk, but immediately wrote an SMS: "What happened?" I replied: "We have trouble, Sasha in intensive care." Nadia reacted instantly. She asked me to stay in place. “Our people will come now,” she said.
Sasha photo: Anna Ivantsova for TDSoon Denis and Igor arrived, a psychologist and social teacher of the fund. Dasha seemed to be in prostration, could not tie a few words. Denis and Igor talked with her on the steps of the cathedral for a long time, until Dasha was getting better, and then they called the hospital and made sure that everything was fine with Sasha.
Dasha herself could not call, she was difficult and scary to concentrate on the words of doctors.
Sasha photo: Anna Ivantsova for TD- The hospital said: "Sasha has a serious stable condition." It scared me. Only over time I realized that there could be no easy stable state in intensive care, but then I did not realize it.
The fund helped Dasha get from Smolensk to Demidov. After that, psychologist Denis began to work with her. “He is well done, younger, distracted me from everything,” says Dasha. She again felt that she had a rear. Dasha knew: you can call the fund at any time, they will always help. This sense of support helped ten days to hold out while Sasha was in intensive care.
They still refused to let Dasha’s daughter Dasha. The woman went to the hospital and gave Sasha food, and then she returned home and just waited for her girl to return.
The village of Cools, in which Daria lived before moving photo: Anna Ivantsova for TD“I don't know how I lived.” It seemed that time just stood still. One word: horror. I lived from a call to the hospital to the call.
When Sasha first after separation saw her mother, she cried. Dasha seemed to her daughter looked at her as a traitor. “Mom was always side by side, my mother was simply not allowed,” Dasha repeated the girl over and over again. In the end, in relations with her daughter, everything became as before, but Sasha could not forget the hospital. Every time mom leaves, she begins to worry: “Mom, where are you? You won't leave me? "
The hardest after discharge for Sasha was the first week. Walking was painful, sitting too. Dasha re -taught her daughter to take her first steps. In addition, after Sasha returned home, new expenses appeared. The treatment of her daughter was expensive for Dasha and her husband. Only the ointment, healing burns, cost 600 rubles per tube, and was enough for a day. Dasha has a salary of 12 thousand, her husband has 13, along with prizes a little more than 30 thousand for three with a child comes out a month.
Medicines could become a significant cost item, but then the Fund again helped out the family: he helped with the payment of bandages, peroxide, disposable diapers, ointments.
Sasha photo: Anna Ivantsova for TDWhile we are talking, Sasha concentratively builds a hospital from the designer presented by the Foundation. Aunt Nadia sits on the floor with her. From the outside it may seem that this is really Sashina’s native aunt. In fact, Nadezhda is a social teacher of the Our Children Foundation. Just during this time it has already become its own.
Dasha and her family are not the only ones who are helped by the “our children” fund in the Smolensk region. The region is considered subsidized, 16 percent of families with children live here behind the poverty line and need support. The fund also needs to be able to quickly help its wards and pay salaries to employees, as well as implement the social program “Do not spill water” on the prevention of social orphanage. Even a small, but regular donation can give the fund the opportunity to help another family and return hope for the future to her life.
