The defendant in the “palace case,” Nicholas the Ninth, was transferred to colony No. 5 “Metallostroy” in St. Petersburg. This was reported by the Arresters 212 telegram channel.
According to investigators, on January 23, at a protest rally in connection with the detention of Alexei Navalny, Nine attacked a traffic police officer and hit another policeman while trying to escape. On August 5, the Oktyabrsky District Court of St. Petersburg sentenced Nine to four and a half years in a general regime colony. He was found guilty of using violence dangerous to life or health against a government official (Part 2 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code). On October 19, the appellate court upheld the verdict.
In addition to the term in the colony, the court recovered 150 thousand rubles from the accused to compensate for moral damages to two law enforcement officers who were victims in the case.
The last known location of the Ninth is pre-trial detention center No. 6 “Gorelovo” in St. Petersburg.
