The picket with the poster “Putin's Reichem kills me and my family” was arrested for 14 days

The court in Kaliningrad found activist Vladimir Makarov guilty under an article on petty hooliganism (Article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) and arrested for 14 days. This was announced by the OTD-INFO lawyer Vadim Khairullin.

Makarov was detained on the same day, on November 12, due to a single picket, which he spent near the building of the city motor transport enterprise, where he had previously worked. Protesting against the dismissal, the man stood with the poster “Putin's Reichem kills me and my family” for an hour and a half. After the action was completed, the police detained Makarov and drew up a protocol for supposedly obscenely scolding in a conversation by phone. Then a picket to the Moscow District Court.

In court, Makarov was refused a request to call a witness - his wife, with whom the activist was talking on the phone, and also refused to call the prosecutor and request a telephone conversation with the mobile operator. At the same time, the court listened to the testimony of two witnesses who allegedly attended Makarov cursing obscenities.

According to lawyer Vadim Khairullin, the activist was fired from work for his social activity and indifference to what was happening in the country. “He had come with a poster to his former place of work for 4 days in a row, but only today the police decided to detain him,” Khairullin said.

• Vladimir Makarov was beaten after the detention at a rally on April 21 in support of Navalny. In protest against the actions of the police, he declared a dry hunger strike.
