The Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don fined Nalchik resident Ruslan Khagabanov 360 thousand rubles under the article on justifying terrorism due to a comment on VKontakte about a terrorist attack in the building of the Arkhangelsk FSB. This was reported by the publication “Kavkaz.Realii”.

23-year-old Khagabanov was charged with an article on public justification of terrorism using the Internet (Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code). The case was opened in June 2021 for a comment made three years ago, and Khagabanov was detained at the same time. According to the telegram channel “Oper leaked”, Khagabanov posted the publication because he “admired” the act of a resident of Arkhangelsk who detonated a bomb. Khagabanov admitted his guilt.

In October 2018, anarchist Mikhail Zhlobitsky detonated a bomb in the Arkhangelsk FSB building. Three employees were injured, the young man himself died. A few minutes before the incident, a message about an explosion appeared in the “Rebel Speech” telegram chat. After this, a criminal case was opened regarding a terrorist attack.

A resident of Nalchik was fined because of a comment about an explosion in the Arkhangelsk FSB Directorate
