The defendant in the Hizb ut-Tahrir case was extended his detention in a punishment cell in a Bashkir colony

For unknown reasons, Crimean Tatar Teimur Abdullaev, convicted in the Simferopol Hizb ut-Tahrir case, had his term of detention in a punishment cell (punishment cell) extended in IK-2 in Salavat. The prisoner’s wife Alime Abdullaeva reported this to Crimean Solidarity.

In a telephone conversation, she said that the prisoner would remain in the punishment cell until December 8. It also became known that Abdullaev was being prepared for transfer to a cell-type room (PKT) . The reasons for transfer to PCT are also unknown.

Abdullaev had already been in the punishment cell since October 22. Immediately after the end of the week's period, he was returned there for another 12 days. The total term that the convict spent in a punishment cell is more than one and a half years.

According to Abdullaeva, her husband suffers from high blood pressure and being in a punishment cell aggravates his health problems.

• Teymur Abdullayev was found guilty under the article on organizing the activities of a terrorist organization (Part 1 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code). After appeal, his sentence was 16 years and 6 months in prison. Together with Abdullaev, four more Crimean Tatars are involved in the Simferopol Hizb ut-Tahrir case; they are accused of participating in the activities of a terrorist organization (Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code).

In this regard, criminal cases are being initiated in different regions of the country, with defendants being sentenced to various terms in a maximum security colony only on the basis that they met in apartments, read religious literature and disseminated their ideas. According to a number of experts, Hizb ut-Tahrir was unlawfully recognized as a terrorist organization, since its participants in Russia did not prepare or carry out terrorist acts.
