Police searched the head of the Voronezh shelter "Dora" in connection with the murder of 18 dogs.

In Voronezh, the police conducted a search at the head of the Dora shelter, Yuri Shamarin, in the case of cruelty to animals (part 2 of article 245 of the Criminal Code). He himself told about this "7x7".

The case was initiated after employees of an officially unregistered shelter found the bodies of 18 dogs at the end of October. According to investigators, the head of Dora may be involved in the killing of animals. The protocol states that the investigators have every reason to believe that the activist may have firearms in the house, but the security forces did not find anything during the search.

“I never close the door, so they calmly entered, opened the door, began to shove their papers. They searched for weapons, of course, they did not find anything. I have no idea why they came to me. Maybe this is how they want to show their importance, as if they are doing something and looking for a criminal. Maybe they wanted to drop something. We have a friend who made a statement about recognizing me as a victim, ”Shamarin said to the publication.

According to the activist, four dogs have been shot at the shelter in the past few years. He said that law enforcement agencies ignored these cases because they were not massive. “Even in the winter they would come and shoot the dogs at night. We tried to look at the cameras, but we couldn't find it. Coincidence or not, but there [on the territory next to the shelter] it is planned to build some kind of Moscow office. And the shelter thereby interferes. People came, offered a piece of land, and Yuri Shamarin did not like this condition. Then they glued a piece of paper saying that they would partially demolish the shelter,” Vadim Gorelov, a shelter volunteer, said.
