Several anti-fascists were detained in St. Petersburg

In St. Petersburg in the Kalininsky district around 21:00, several anti-fascists were detained. Their friend reported it. According to him, the detainees wanted to draw graffiti in memory of the musician Timur Kacharava, who was killed by the Nazis.

In total, six people were detained, including one minor. They were taken to police station No. 76. There is no contact with the detainees themselves.

2:30 Comrades of the detainees report that the father took the minor from the police department. The rest are interrogated, after which the police promise to release them.

3:19 According to the police, the reasons for the detention are violation of the mask regime and swearing in a public place, the friend of the detainees passed it on and added: “This is not a joke, if anything.”

16 November 11:50 At 4:00 am, all the detained anti-fascists were released. This was reported to OVD-Info by their friend. There were no protocols for them.

• On November 13, 2005, near the Bookvoed bookstore in St. Petersburg, anti-fascist Timur Kacharava and his friend were attacked by a group of neo-Nazis shouting "Anti-antifa". Kacharava received six stab wounds in the neck and died. Seven attackers received conditional or real terms of up to 12 years in prison.
