The Supreme Court of Bashkortostan upheld the arrest of the supporters of Navalny Lilia Chanyshheva

The Supreme Court of Bashkortostan upheld the decision on the placement of the ex-coordinator of the local headquarters of Navalny Lilia Chanysheva. This was reported in the text broadcast of the newspaper "Kommersant-Ufa."

Thus, the court recognized the decision of the Kirovsky District Court of Ufa on the arrest of Chanysheva until January 2022. The activist is a suspect in the case of organizing the activities of the extremist community (part 1 of article 282.1 of the Criminal Code). On November 9, she and several local activists and journalists were searches .

In the meeting, Lilia Chanysheva participated in the video from the pre -trial detention center No. 1 of Ufa, where she is on quarantine. The judge refused to allow the wife of the activist Almaz Gatina to the meeting, they have not seen each other since her detention on November 9.

Lawyer Vladimir Voronin provided the court with 28 personal guarantees for Chanyshev, including from the journalists of Echo of Moscow Tatyana Felgenhauer, Alexander Poyshchev, the chief editor of the rain of Tikhon Dzyadko and political scientist Ekaterina Shulman.

The side of the defense demanded to change the preventive measure to a softer one, since Chanysheva is not going to hide from the investigation. Lawyers also indicated a possible pregnancy of the defendant.

“About hiding from the investigation. Two years ago I had a search, and I did not leave either the country or from the republic. In January, Alexei Navalny was arrested, and I also did not go anywhere. After the rallies, I was under administrative arrest and also did not go anywhere. In April, I got married, and we went with my husband to Armenia, but I returned to the country. In the summer, the FBK was recognized as an extremist organization, but I also did not go anywhere, ”said Chanysheva herself.

• On June 9, 2021, the Moscow City Court recognized the Corruption Fund (FBK), the Fund for the Protection of Citizens' Rights (FZPG) and the headquarters of Alexei Navalny with extremist organizations. Later, the Court of Appeal approved this decision.
