A court in Crimea fined Crimean Tatars who came to a hearing in the Hizb-ut-Tahrir case.

The Central District Court of Simferopol imposed fines under the “rally” article on five Crimean Tatars who came to the hearing on the Hizb-ut-Tahrir case. This was reported by Crimean Solidarity with reference to public defender Ayder Suleimanov.

Crimeans were accused of violating the rules for participation in a public event (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). Ridvan Beitullaev, Ebazera Umerov, Remzi Gaziev and Ali Sanaev were fined 13,000 rubles by the court, and Enver Yuldashev – 10,000 rubles.

• On October 29, 30 people were detained , who came to the broadcast of the announcement of the verdict in the Crimean garrison military court. Neither they nor the journalists were allowed to go to court, despite the fact that the process was open. The police cordoned off the building and forbade entry to the territory of the court to anyone except lawyers. Then the members of the support group put on capes with photos of the defendants and the inscriptions "16 years - for what?" and "20 years - for what?" and lined up a hundred meters in front of the courthouse. Subsequently, the courts fined many detainees .

• On October 29, the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced four defendants in the third Bakhchisaray Hizb ut-Tahrir case to terms of 12 to 17 years. According to investigators, the defendants Seytumer Seytumerov, Osman Seytumerov, Rustem Seitmemetov and Amet Suleymanov were preparing "a violent seizure of power through the total Islamization of the population." They were found guilty under the article on preparing for a violent seizure of power (Article 278 of the Criminal Code with the application of Part 1 of Article 30 of the Criminal Code), in addition, Seitumer Seytumerov was also found guilty under the article on organizing the activities of a terrorist organization (Part 1 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code) , and the other three - about participation in the activities of a terrorist organization (part 2 of article 205.5 of the Criminal Code).

• The Islamist party Hizb ut-Tahrir has been recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia. In various regions of Russia, as well as in the Crimea, alleged members of the party are being prosecuted for the activities of a terrorist organization. At the same time, members of Hizb ut-Tahrir were not seen in the preparation of attacks or terrorist attacks. The accused are sentenced to various terms only on the basis that they held meetings and read religious literature. On the territory of Ukraine, the activities of Hizb ut-Tahrir are allowed.
