The court refused to exclude the former editor -in -chief of the "project" from the register of foreign agents
Roman Badanin
The Zamoskvoretsky court of Moscow recognized the minist’s decision on the inclusion of journalist Roman Badanin in the register of the media, “ Interfax ” in the register of foreign agents.
The journalist asked to recognize his inclusion in the register unreasonable, but the court did not find reason for this. The court also refused to cancel the status to the chief editor of the Open Media Julia Yarosh.
On July 15, the publisher of Project, the American non -governmental organization Project Media, Inc, was recognized in Russia unwanted. The Prosecutor General’s Office considered that this company poses a “threat to the basics of the constitutional system and safety of the Russian Federation”. Then, the editor of the project of the project, Roman Badanin and a number of journalists of the publication, were included in the register of the media. After that, the Project Iznate company was liquidated. Badanin left Russia and launched a new edition - "Agency".
Roskomnadzor blocked for users from Russia access to the website of the Project publication. The editor -in -chief of the Rain television channel (included in the List of the "Minusta Ino -Agents") Vladimir Motorin drew attention to the fact that the blocking of the "Project" website occurred the day after the Wall Street Journal has published a Badanin column about Putin's alleged mistress and his child’s mother.
A protocol has been drawn up on Badanin for violating the requirements of the Law on "Foreign Agents".
