Nina Ruslanova died

The theater and cinema actress Nina Ruslanova died at the age of 75 after a long illness, TASS reports with reference to the Union of Cinematographers. Earlier, actor Stanislav Sadalsky announced her death.

Nina Ruslanova was born on December 5, 1945 in the city of Bogodukhov near Kharkov. At a two -month -old age, she hit the orphanage. Later, she herself chose the name of Ruslanov, like the singer Lydia Ruslanova.

In 1960, she graduated from the construction school as plasters, entered the Kharkov Theater Institute, and then at the Schukin Theater Institute in Moscow. Since 1969 she served in the Vakhtangov Theater, in 1985-1988-in the Mayakovsky Theater, since 1987-in the Simonov Theater.

Nina Ruslanova starred in more than 170 films, among them - “Short meetings”, “Knowing the White Light” and “The Setter” by Kira Muratova, “My Friend Ivan Lapshin” by Alexei German, “Afona” George Danelia, “Tomorrow was the war” by Yuri Kara.

She played the main roles in “Do not shoot the white swans” Rodion Nakhapetov, “Be my husband” by Alla Surikova, the television series “Shadows disappear at noon” by Valery Up and Vladimir Krasnopolsky.

In 1998, Ruslanova was awarded the title of People's Artist of Russia.
