The Khamovnichesky Court of Moscow fined Novaya Gazeta author Victoria Ivleva 150 thousand rubles for participating in a picket in support of the human rights organization Memorial . This was reported by Dozhd .
Human rights activist Yuri Samodurov was also fined 20,000 rubles. He was charged with violating the rules for organizing a public event (Part 2 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), and Ivleva was charged with repeated violation of the procedure for holding a public event (Part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
A series of single pickets in support of Memorial took place on November 20. Twelve people were detained at the event. Ivleva and Samodurov spent the entire weekend at the police station.
