President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with members of the government, during which he talked about the situation with Covid-19 in Russia. They also discussed Petersburg.

During the week, the incidence of coronavirus in the country decreased by 6.1 %, said Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova. Moreover, the most noticeable improvements were in Moscow, the Moscow Region and St. Petersburg.

Petersburg also ended up in the leaders in collective immunity - in the coming weeks its level should be 80 %, Golikova says. At the same time, the study of the European University in St. Petersburg previously showed that more than 3.65 million Petersburgers (83 % of the adult population) in October had antibodies to coronavirus.

The meeting noted that "the current decline has not yet led to a significant decrease in mortality," and "a new increase in incidence of Covid is inevitable."
