In the Pskov region, the administrator of a telegram channel who posted the code of a “malware program” will be tried

In Velikiye Luki, the investigation into the criminal case of a 39-year-old St. Petersburg resident who posted the code of a “malware program” on a Telegram channel was completed. This was reported in the telegram channel of the press service of the courts of the Pskov region.

The man is accused of distributing computer information knowingly intended for unauthorized destruction, blocking and copying of computer information (Part 2 of Article 273 of the Criminal Code).

The investigation established that the St. Petersburg resident administered the Telegram channel and “entered into a criminal conspiracy with an unidentified person aimed at finding and subsequently distributing <...> the code of the malicious program.”

The prosecutor's office called the channel administered by the accused “popular.”

The criminal case was brought to Velikoluksky City Court.
