The Investigative Committee began an investigation after the death of a girl under a train in Novosibirsk

A 15-year-old girl died on the tracks in Novosibirsk. The Investigative Committee began an investigation.

A girl born in 2007 died on the stretch "Inya Yuzhnaya - Novosibirsk Yuzhny" on August 26. She was hit by a freight train, according to the East Siberian Department of the RF Investigative Committee for Transport.

“The interviewed driver explained that the girl entered the gauge of the railway track before the train approached. The emergency braking measures taken by the driver and the sound signals given did not allow to avoid a collision, ”the ministry said.

The girl died on the spot.

The Investigative Committee announced an inspection and plans to evaluate “not only the actions of the victim and her parents”, but also the locomotive crew and those responsible for security at railway infrastructure facilities.
