Rostec is developing a program to predict the riots

In the state corporation Rostec is developing a program that will help the authorities predict mass riots and prevent their escalation. This was reported by "Kommersant" with reference to the source. The program should be ready by 2022.

The work is underway as part of the project of the Ministry of Emergencies "Safe City". The head of the project office "Safe City" in the United Instrument -Building Corporation Andrei Mishorni confirmed the development of the program. The forecasting will be based on machine learning methods, he explained.

The press service of the Ministry of Emergencies confirmed that in the framework of the Safe City, a draft methodology for the forecast-analytical model "Massage Riots" was developed, it is aimed at coordinating the authorities.

To create forecasts, the system must analyze media reports, data from social networks, “smart” cameras and other sources. After the start of the riots, the program will analyze the behavior of the crowd and recommend law enforcement officers the procedure for actions.

The publication notes that now a similar work in the regions is carried out by the regional management centers (CUR) - digital platforms that aggregate requests from residents from official sites and from social networks. Since 2020, the system has been introduced by the ANO "Dialog", headed by the ex-employee of the presidential administration Alexei Gororevsky. The aim of the project is also the tracking of residents in social networks.
