A court in Moscow fined First Anti-Corruption Media 500 thousand rubles under the law on “foreign agents”

On November 12, the Ostankinsky District Court of Moscow fined the First Anti-Corruption Mass Media (PASMI) 500,000 rubles under the article on violation of the “foreign agency” legislation (part 1 of article 19.34.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). Information about this was found in the file of the court by the telegram channel "ChTD".

In addition, on December 3, Dmitry Verbitsky, acting editor-in-chief of the publication, was fined 50,000 rubles under the same article.

The reason for compiling the protocols was the material “Immunity rejected the pre-trial detention center: convicted ex-deputy head of the Federal Penitentiary Service may get out of arrest due to illness”, published on the website without marking “foreign agent”. Verbitsky explained this as a technical error.
