A picketer with a poster against Putin was detained in Moscow

Maksim Alekseyuk was detained in Moscow, who went to Red Square with a single picket. He himself informed OVD-Info about this.

Alekseyuk's poster had the abbreviation PUTIN and its transcript. The police took the picketer to the Kitai-Gorod department. Oksana Borodina, a lawyer from OVD-Info, went to help him.

19:15 A report was drawn up against Alekseyuk under the article on violation of the rules for participation in the action (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) and released from the department. The Tverskoy District Court will consider the protocol on December 13 at 11:30.

• In October Maksim Alekseyuk was arrested for five days because of another picket on Red Square. He announced the illegal composition of the State Duma and demanded impeachment of Putin and freedom for political prisoners.
• Participants in various actions are regularly detained on Red Square: eco-activists who wanted to record a video message, participants in single-person pickets with posters about Putin , against the constitutional reform or in support of protesters in Belarus , actionists and simply picketers with a smiley face or a blank sheet of paper . According to the federal law on rallies, the procedure for holding public events on Red Square is determined personally by the President of the Russian Federation.
