Mark Rudinstein died

On December 5, in Moscow, at the age of 75, the founder of the Kinotavr Film Festival, producer Mark Rudinshtein, died.

Mark Grigoryevich Rudinstein was born in 1946 in Odessa, in 1972-1975 he studied at the acting and director of the B.V. Theater School Schukina, in 1992 received higher education in absentia with a degree in concert activity.

In the 1970s and 1980s, he worked as an administrator in the parks of Podolsk near Moscow, the director of pop programs of the State Concert and Gastrot Association of the RSFSR (Roskontcert). In the late 1980s, he was engaged in organizing rock festivals in Podolsk, in 1989 he headed the Moscow Region company there and the leisure center of the same name.

In the spring of 1990, along with the company "Moscow Region" held in Podolsk the "Festival of uncomfortable cinema". In May 1991, the first All -Union Film Festival “Kinotavr” was held in Sochi, the organizer of which was the creative association of “Moscow Region” with the participation of the magazine “Excere”, the newspaper “House of Cinema” and the Union of Cinematographers of the USSR.

From 1991 to 1999 he was the president of the Kinotavr film company and the general producer of the Kinotavr festival, from 1999 to 2005 - the president of the Kinotavr group of companies. Since 2001, on the initiative of Mark Rudinshtein in Sochi and Moscow, the Kinotavrik International Children's Art Festival of Arts has been held. In 2005, he transferred the rights to hold the Kinotavra to Alexander Rodnyansky and Igor Tolstunov, in the same year he became the founder of Kinomark, working in the production of films and television programs.

He participated in the producing of a number of films, including Gambrinus (1990) and “Cynics” (1991) Dmitry Meskhiev, “Suicide” (1990) Valeria Penrakovsky, “Short Breath of Love” (1992) Valeria Kharchenko, “Anomaly” (1993) Yuri Elkhova. As an actor, he starred in dozens of films and series.

In 2009, at the Kinotavr festival, Mark Rudinstein was awarded a special prize “For an outstanding contribution to the Russian film industry”.
