A picketer with a poster “You are dragging us down” was detained in Moscow

In Moscow, on Red Square, Maxim Meder was detained, standing with a poster "You are pulling us to the bottom." He himself informed OVD-Info about this.

The detainee is being taken to the Kitay-Gorod Police Department.

The department drew up a protocol against Meder under the article on violation of the rules for participation in the action (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). He was defended by a lawyer from OVD-Info Alexander Salamov.

• Participants in various actions are regularly detained on Red Square: eco-activists who wanted to record a video message, participants in single-person pickets with posters about Putin , against the constitutional reform or in support of protesters in Belarus , actionists and simply picketers with a smiley face or a blank sheet of paper . According to the federal law on rallies, the procedure for holding public events on Red Square is determined personally by the President of the Russian Federation.
