On December 5, the UK announced the start of the verification of the performers at the request of the “group of patriots”, while in its release the investigation uses the same formulations that are found in Yakushev’s post. After that, Yakushev denied the existence of the “circulation of a group of patriots” and called on the investigating authorities to stop. “It was a joke. A fictional appeal, specially written in idiotic form, satire in our time, ”he wrote on his blog.
Yakushev spoke more about the post in an interview with Mediazone . He introduced himself as a “little blogger” and a former activist, a little known in the “left environment”. Yakushev said that in this way he was joking often - for example, he wrote a statement on behalf of the "Union of Atheists of the North Caucasus." It treats the work of Noize MC and Oximiron well. He did not send a letter to Bastrykin anywhere, it was available only on a blogger page in a “living magazine”.
