The police did not allow residents of Shakhty of the Rostov region to record a video message to State Duma deputies against the introduction of QR codes. This is reported by the "Caucasian Knot".
The security forces drove up to the territory of the Artemovets sports complex, where opponents of the introduction of QR codes were going to record an appeal. The police took a written explanation from one of the participants and insisted that the meeting was illegal.
To record the video, the activists were divided into several groups. One group was able to record a video message in another location, while other members claimed they were being followed by law enforcement.
“People complain that without QR codes they are not allowed into shopping centers, which is contrary to our legislation. Many complain that this limits their freedom, without a code they cannot get a job. And some complained that they had to write an application for payment, because without QR codes they were not allowed to work. I think that these are restrictions on the rights of the people, so I am against QR codes,” said Vadim Kurdyuk, a participant in the action and a deputy of the Shakht City Duma.
