The text concerned the prospects of Yuri Luzhkov to lead Russia. At that time, he was the most powerful “heavyweight” of regional leaders, was considered a business executive (and Moscow, as always, flourished against the rest of Russia). The article ended in the fact that for three hundred years now, the Muscovite has never headed Russia, and now it would be time.

From an entertaining, seemingly fact, an unobvious conclusion was made. If he has not headed for three hundred years, then why will it now lead? As we know, Yuri Luzhkov did not become the president.

The mentality of Russians of the middle lane, Siberia, the Far East, North and North-West differs less from each other than any of them-from the resident of the capital. Muscovites in the USSR did not like, on the one hand. And on the other, a person who grew up in the capital could not and did not want to understand what the provincials think and feel. And they (us) are the majority. And when it comes to politics, a person speaking the same language with the majority is much more likely to lead the country.

Of course, there was no reasoning like “from there, from here, from Siberia, it was not yet” - this is really a fortune -telling on the coffee grounds. But if we look back, we will see that it was often impossible to predict who would lead the country after the departure of the previous leader.

Who was the most powerful person after Lenin? Trotsky. And who led the country? Stalin. After Stalin, Beria was the coolest and terrible. But Khrushchev began to rule.

We can only assume that the next president of Russia will be from the environment of Vladimir Putin (which can still seriously change in the next ten years).
