The Moscow City Court rejected the complaint of comedian Idrak Mirzalizadeh against the decision on his claim against the Ministry of Internal Affairs

The Moscow City Court dismissed the complaint of comedian Idrak Mirzalizade against the decision on his lawsuit against the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This was reported by the telegram channel "Pravozashchita".

On October 5, the Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow partially satisfied the claim of stand-up comedian Idrak Mirzalizade against the Ministry of Internal Affairs and demanded that a “reasonable” period be established for the undesirability of the comedian’s stay in Russia.

On August 30, Mirzalizade's stay in Russia was declared undesirable for life. The reason for this was the stand-up performance, in which he joked about Russians and shit.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that the comedian used "expressions that incite hatred and enmity towards persons of Russian nationality, degrading their human dignity."

Mirzalizade is a citizen of Belarus. TASS, citing its source , said that the comedian would be deported from Russia if he did not leave the country on his own.

  • On September 16, the Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow suspended the order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which recognized the stay of comedian Idrak Mirzalizade in Russia as undesirable for life.
  • Earlier, because of this speech, Mirzalizade was arrested for 10 days under the article on inciting hatred (Article 20.3.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The comedian himself did not admit his guilt at the trial, but apologized to those who were offended by his joke. Before that, he was attacked because of the same joke.
