On the discussion, the conversation will go with the authors, but it is important that the voices of the heroes and heroines in this discussion also sounded. “New” spoke with Alexei, Tatyana and Farrukh, who were shot in documentaries 5-10 years ago, and found out how they are now evaluating their participation in the shooting.
Alexey Artemyev is the protagonist of Dmitry Kubasov’s documentary “Butterflies” (2016). He was selection in the documentary project “Reality”, whose participants themselves take off their lives. He is an open homosexual, which he talks about at a family dinner, after which a quarrel flashes. Arriving at the Ples at the Film Festival, he meets Grisha, with whom he begins an affair.
Tatyana Mikhailova is the main character of Dmitry Kubasov’s documentary “Tanya 5th” (2011), works as a taxi driver in Kokrov, and she is fifth at the taxi park.
She sanctifies her car from the priest, then takes her son from a kindergarten, and at night she sells vodka trucks.
Farrukh Gafurov is the protagonist of Denis Shabaev’s documentary “Alien Work” (2015), he came to Moscow from Tajikistan. Farrukh is a labor migrant and lives in a trailer with his parents and an older brother, but dreams of becoming an actor.
- How did you find yourself a hero/heroine of a documentary and why did you agree to participate in the shooting?
Alexey: I just returned from the army and did not know what to do at all. My friend saw an advertisement for the Reality project and literally forced me to take part. I refused for about a month, but she came to my house and watched how I fill out the application. So I went to the project, and Dmitry Kubasov’s film “Butterflies” has already grown out of it.
Tatyana: I have known Dima Kubasova, director of the film "Tanya 5th" for a long time. His dad is from our village, we are neighbors in the country and we have been friends for a long time. Dima comes here in the summer, but recently it is rare.
Dima came before the New Year to his parents, I came to them, we sat, laughed. And he says: "Tan, I learned to the director, I need to remove the thesis." I say: "Dim, what a good fellow you are." He says that he wants to make a film about me. Of course, I laughed: "Dim, stop, I'm shy." I can’t even say exactly what feelings I felt then. I can say what feelings I feel now, but what happened then - I do not know. And he didn’t even persuade me, he simply said: “You will not have to do anything at all, you will live your life, but next to you I will be with the camera.” I say: “Dim, so I have a job, I don’t even know. And at work how? " "Tan, we’ll come up with something, but I want to take off."

Farrukh: I am glad that the “alien work” was removed about me - about how I first came to Russia and how I try to be an actor. I wanted my story to stay in life, so that all other people would not give up, no matter what. In whatever difficult situations they are, they can rise and achieve their goal. I think this is my fate: when the documentary was shot about me, I did not study anywhere. After I had an accident, and then in prison. I saw what a pre -trial detention center is and how people live there. And after I went out, I was deported.
I arrived home, and everyone thought that everything was over on this film. But with this it all started. Then he returned and entered the VGIK - the first time to the budget.
- How were the shooting organized, how did you behave on them and how - director?
Alexey: I generally did not understand what was happening. Here is the “Reality” project - it was stated as “Take a movie about yourself”. When I was offered to get out of Dima, I thought: "Ha, can I not do this?"
Then, having worked in a documentary cinema, I realized that I had acted stupidly. Probably, it was not worth trusting Dima, but what happened - it turned out. The film is a work of art, and it has the right to exist, regardless of what I think of it.
We discussed that we would be equal to the participants, but it turned out, of course, not so. Dima at that moment played an active role in my life. I would not say that he provoked me on something, I think, on the contrary, the more: the more I did something, the more he liked it. Dima encouraged my freedom. For example, there were situations when we actively bought alcohol. Then all this seemed to me not very correct - my partner at that time was not open gay. But in the process I did not think so.
I had a rule not to review what was shot, because otherwise I instantly wanted to delete it.
I decided that since I went to it, I’ll get to the end and I just won’t watch anything. Therefore, I had the feeling that my personal life was my personal life. Then I realized the mistake - after the shooting ended. I thought: this is my life, how can you break it? However, the final installation ... I did not think about the installation, but it changes everything very much. I think this film is not about me. They say that when the artist draws someone's portrait, this portrait is always like an artist.
Tatyana: Dima just walked with the camera for me, and all - no "let's so, come on." We didn’t discuss anything with him. I got up in the morning, Dima came, we drank coffee, and I went to work. He always said: "You are so naturally filming, as if you are an actress!" I say: "Dim, you know, I'm sorry, but I don’t see myself at all."
When I worked in a taxi, he could not be with me around the clock. And I offered him: "Dim, let's attach the camera with tape, with rain on top - so that it would not be visible." So the camera went with me a day or two. But mostly Dima was with me. Some passengers recognized him, asked for an autograph - he starred in a movie. I remember the youth sat down to my call. He is: "I can sit here, I am very frozen, I'm cold?" And the girl says: "You have such a familiar face!" - And I answer: "This is an actor!" They screeched with joy. Of course, this is not in my cinema, but many recognized him.
When the camera turned off, we began to laugh. When we are together - always laugh. He turns off the camera, lowers, looks at me and smiles. And all, I can't - laugh.
Farrukh: At first, it was inconvenient to act, because in the documentary cinema I starred for the first time. And I did not understand how real all this is! Initially, I played something, gradually realized that when the dock is being shot about you, there is no script, you are not a special lifestyle, you do not need to learn the role. What is it, and live. The director did not ask for anything. He said: “Live, do not pay attention to me. What is not necessary, I will delete it myself. "

Of course, my parents were complex at first. They were glad that some director appeared who would shoot a movie about me. But they did not know that the movie would be about our real story, they did not understand what documentary cinema is. Gradually they are used to it. The elder brother did not want to be shot, a couple of times he even arranged a scandal. But he is gradually used to it. Of course, it was scary to trust the director, but we were not mistaken. He became our native after so many months. Then we discussed with the family that the real Russians, they are really very good people.
There were also interesting stories: they shoot a documentary about me - and I'm going to act in the series. At such moments, they shot me on both sides! It was unexpected and pleasant to me.
- What was your reaction when you watched the film?
Alexey: Dima, obviously, was afraid to show me the picture. I learned that it exists from other people and looked it myself. I then worked with Sasha Rastorguev in the Murmansk region: I was in the polar, he was in Monchegorsk. And he calls me and begins to make fun of me with humor. And I immediately understand what is happening. The next day I went to him, he showed me the film, his world premiere has already passed, and we stayed somewhere for another month. When I returned, silence. I decided to call, I ask: "Friends, how are you, what's new?" And by that time we have not communicated for a long time. In general, I just forced Dima to show me the film.
Naturally, I was not glad that this film exists.
At the first viewing, I pale, sweated, laughed nervously. Then came the understanding that this is a work of art,
And who am I to say something about the work of art.
I have said many times that I do not want the film to be in the public domain. But, as far as I know, you can see him "Kinopoisk." And they are periodically written by friends who did not know about the shooting: they say, I watched the film, and this is you.
Tatyana: I want to say right away: I didn’t like the film at all, I watched it once, and then at the rewind. While looking, cried. I told Dima: "I have the feeling that you took only the bad, and left everything good behind the scenes." Although I don’t even know if he cut something. I added: “Dim, this is a film about a vulgar woman who always yells, swear, behaves inadequately.” He replied: "You do not understand anything, everyone will like everything!" I said that I do not want to watch this film anymore, that it is bad.
Farruch: When I watched the film, as if I looked at my life from the side and saw it as it is.
And she seemed to me cloudy - maybe because I did not agree with her. I realized that I do not want to live like this-I want absolutely different. I saw my mistakes, I saw that my every step should be changed. I really wanted to move on. The film told me: “Faling, open your eyes! Here is your mistakes, here is your jamb, you need to fix it - you will succeed - do not give up and go. ”
- How do you perceive the hero/heroine of the film - as yourself/yourself or as a kind of screen image?
Alexey: When you see yourself on the screen, it is difficult to separate yourself from the hero. I do not think that the hero on the screen is me. At the same time, it seems to me that they told the truth about me. I liked how Colta.ru described me in this film: "Moscow shameless in the sea of alcohol." This is the right description.
I do not deny that in that period of life I behaved indecent in many ways, but there was a reason for that. I just returned from the army, I was angry around the world, and I had problems with aggression for another three years - I dealt with them for quite some time.

Tatyana: A woman in this cinema is not a real one. When you watch any film, there are positive heroes, but there are negative ones. But I understand that this is a movie. And this film ... Ah! Am I saying that? It's just a nightmare when you look at yourself from the side. This is a film about an ill -mannered person. A woman is some kind of cattle, I don’t even know how to describe my feeling with normal words, I can only obscenities. I didn’t like it at all.
Farruh: I perceive the hero on the screen as myself - the way I am. I came to Russia, it was not easy for me to live in a foreign country, especially without knowledge of the Russian language. But I understood that all this was needed to achieve my goal, and Russian is my second native language, I must learn it.
- If you were offered to star in a documentary again, would you agree?
Alexey: It all depends on the director. For example, this summer I met Gedra Zhitzkit, and she spoke about ethics and morality in documentary cinema and responsibility to the hero. I liked her story: they came to the shooting of the heroine, and she moved some objects on the table for the best frame, the operator later said to her: “Before we leave, you must put everything in place as it stood.” This applies to the spiritual state of the hero. And Dima acted a little differently, and with him I in no way agree to act.
Tatyana: In another film, I would not agree to act. Maybe if Dima came now, then everything would be different-I would behave completely differently. And if someone else came, then, of course, she would answer: no, no, no.
Farruch: Why not? To be shy in this life that you are? And I still do not give up, I’m going to my goal.
- How did the shooting in the documentary affect your life?
Alexey: After the shooting was over, I began to think about my life and quite radically changed it. For example, I have not had sex for six years - this is my choice. I realized that it was not good to use people. The story is a little more complicated, but in short, then after the filming of the film everything came to naught.
Tatyana: This film has not changed this film in me. When he took first place in St. Anne, Dima arrived, brought a letter, said: “Tanya! Your film took first place! " I say: "What are you?!" Of course, I said wrong, I said: "What fools are watching this movie?" I ask: "They gave any money?" “No, they didn’t give it.” - "Badly. If Dali, it would be good. And so, the first place - so what? " And he said: "Tan, you are simply not a man of art, so you do not understand."
How could the film change my life? I had depression. It was very bad for me that I was so vulgar. It just treats time. But my depression was terrible. I remember my brother called: “Zhenya, this is horror, not the film!”, He replies: “And Kubasov said that it was cool.” I say: "No, it's not cool!"
In short, we laughed. Well, they laughed, but I did not, I was depressed.
Farruh: After a documentary, I saw my life from the side, because in this movie I am. I don’t play anyone there, I live: here we carry water, here we climb into the well. And seeing this, we began to change for the better: we bought a site, we build a house. Your house! This is not what to live in a trailer. I now have shootings, good films, performances, dating. All that I wanted to achieve. We have changed all! But you can’t stop there!
