The Moscow Regional Court canceled a fine of 20,000 rubles imposed on Naro-Fominsk eco-activist Tatyana Pavlova in an administrative case on organizing a meeting in defense of the Selyatinsky Forest, reports . Apology
The case was remanded to the first instance for a new trial.
The activist was detained on October 9 in the village of Selyatino, Moscow Region. Pavlova took part in a meeting of residents against the construction of a road, because of which the Selyatinsky forest would have to be cut down.
A protocol was drawn up against the detainee under the article on violation of the rules for organizing a public event (part 2 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). On October 19, the Naro-Fominsk City Court found her guilty of this offence.
