The author of "Interview with the Vampire" Anne Rice died

Anne Rice, who wrote, among other things, the novel “Interview with the Vampire”, died at the age of 80. About death, Rice was written on Twitter by her son Christopher. The cause of the death of Rice is the consequences of a stroke.

Rice published her first book - “Interview with the Vampire” in 1976. The novel became an international bestseller and was filmed. In the film of the same name, Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Christian Slater, Antonio Banderas and Kirstens Dunst played.

Rice wrote nine more novels included in the series “Vampire Chronicles”, the last of which was published in 2018. Many of these and other books of Rice, the genre of which Variety defines as “Gothic novels”, were translated into Russian. In total, Rice's novels dispersed more than 150 million copies.

In early December, Variety reported that the AMC television channel plans to film a series of Rice Rice Rice Maifier Witches.

Anne Rice will be buried in New Orleans - her hometown, which she described in her novels.
