Roskomnadzor blocked links to pages mentioning Project investigations

On December 11, Roskomnadzor blocked 20 links to pages of various sites that mention articles from the investigative media Project. This was noticed in Roskomsvoboda.

Among the blocked links are mostly pages with references to investigations into the income of the Minister of Internal Affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev and the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov, specifies . Mediazona

• The Project is an independent media outlet founded in 2018 by Roman Badanin. The publication specializes in investigations. On June 29, the journalists of the "Project" were searched in a criminal case of slander against St. Petersburg businessman Ilya Traber. However, journalists and lawyers believe that the real reason for the searches was the investigation that came out that day about undeclared real estate and connections in criminal circles of Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev.
• On July 15, the Prosecutor General's Office recognized Project Media Inc., the American publisher of the investigative media outlet Proekt, as an undesirable organization and added the publication's journalists to the register of "foreign agents." On July 23, the list was replenished with the names of two more journalists of the Project.
• The Project website was blocked in October. Its editor-in-chief Roman Badanin founded a new publication - Agency.
