The US will blacklist several more Chinese companies, including DJI, the world's largest commercial drone maker .
On Thursday, December 16, the companies will be blacklisted by the US Treasury Department for violations related to the persecution of Uyghurs in Xinjiang, the newspaper writes. Americans will be prohibited from investing in these companies.
Face recognition company SenseTime canceled its IPO in Hong Kong this week after learning of the listing. Also on the list are its rival Megvii (which canceled its IPO after being blacklisted last year), another facial recognition company CloudWalk Technology, Dawning Information Industry (supercomputers), Xiamen Meiya Pico (cybersecurity in cooperation with the security forces), Yitu Technology (artificial intelligence), Leon Technology (cloud computing) and NetPosa Technologies (cloud tracking systems).
