Lawyer Nikos Paraskevov was not allowed to see the ex-head of Navalny's Ufa headquarters, Liliya Chanysheva, in the pre-trial detention center. The pre-trial detention center employees referred to the “lack of permission from the investigator,” writes Mediazona.
Earlier, on December 13, lawyer Andrei Sergeev was not allowed to see Chanysheva. He was removed from the case. On December 10, lawyer Vladimir Voronin, who had previously defended her, was unable to get to her. “The investigator of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee sent a resolution to the detention center regarding my removal from the criminal case. They [didn’t] give me the paper; when I get it, I’ll appeal. The illegal recusal is obviously aimed at ensuring that Lilia’s case is discussed in the media as little as possible,” said the activist’s lawyer.
