In the sleeve of the dress of the sister of Nicholas II, Grand Duchess Ksenia Alexandrovna, found candy. Galina Fedorova, an artist-restorer of the highest category, told about this in a video published by Hermitage.

The princess put on the dress on the ball, passing in the Winter Palace. One of the sleeves turned out to be sewn up. Galina Fedorova took off her sleeve and noticed that he was sewn "not capital, but somehow very easy." When she took off the seam, the “something” fell from the sleeve pinkish. “For some reason-probably, some ancient instincts work-I licked this something,” says the restorer. It tasted sweet.

Later it turned out that this was a candy - or rather, the bitten fond of the beginning of the 20th century. There was probably nowhere to leave the candy after the sample, so the princess laid her in the sleeve. Sweets are at least 118 years old, but it seems to be suitable for use. “Biologists looked at the candy, it is not infected with anything, there are no traces of mold on it either,” said the Hermitage. No one will eat it - it will remain in storage in the museum.
