“Liberals do not like to talk about patriotism - rather, about freedom, rights and development. But at the same time, they sometimes amaze with their surprisingly delicate attitude towards the homeland. ”

“Suddenly, Amat’s horse ahead falls into the swamp along the belly. She breaks frantically from a quagmire. The Amat jumps from the saddle into the water, and he burns heavily above the knees. Following this, my horse immediately falls into the swamp. The left stirrup deeply goes into the cold fatty block, I feel that I was about to lose my boots in the depths of the swamp. The boot is sorry. I quickly and gently pull my leg up, the boot is saved, but now it is now full of dirt and water. I fall from the saddle side to the right into the black knife, water and a wet sedge, climb on all fours ahead of the horse along the swaying raw turf swamp bumps. The wet and dirty strongly pull the Cortonian's face for the reason to myself and up. The horse’s horse is widely opened, wet eyes, he wheezes and breaks from the abyss. ”
Many probably heard Vladimir Ryzhkov talking about politics. In the mid-1990s, he was the first deputy chairman of the State Duma, and in recent years remains one of the few oppositionists who strictly criticize the Kremlin course. But he does not really know Ryzhkov who did not hear how he talks about his native Altai. It seems that stories about politics are coming from his head, and about Altai - from the heart.
I listened to Ryzhkov many times, and it seems to me that he would love to talk about politics at all (only circumstances are forced!), But I would tell about Altai endlessly. He told, showed and especially wrote. The result of the description of Altai was, in particular, two large books by Vladimir Ryzhkov - “Shining Altai. Mountains, people, adventures ” (2017) and just appeared on the shelves “ Living Altai. Mountains, people, adventures ” (both books are Ripol Classic Publishing House). This two -volume is, in my opinion, a single narrative, and I would advise starting the study of Altai from the first book.
