The Maykop City Court fined local businessman Boris Dzhambulov 2,000 rubles for publishing the logo of Hizb ut-Tahrir, a designated terrorist organization. It is reported by Kavkaz.Realii.
The man was found guilty under the article on the distribution of extremist materials ( Article 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses ). Dzhambulov admitted his guilt, but did not participate in the trial itself.
- Hizb ut-Tahrir was recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia. In this regard, criminal cases are initiated in different regions of the country, while the defendants are sentenced to various terms in a strict regime colony only on the basis that they met in apartments, read religious literature and spread their ideas. According to a number of experts, Hizb ut-Tahrir was unlawfully recognized as a terrorist organization, since its members in Russia did not prepare or carry out terrorist acts.
