
Sergey Rozhkov was appointed vice -rector for the security of one of the leading Russian universities - the Moscow Higher School of Economics. Earlier for several years he headed the FSB Office in the Belgorod Region, and before that there was the deputy head of the FSB in the Republic of Tatarstan - reports The Insider (the publication is included in the register of the media, "foreign agents").
As stated in the university’s press release, Rozhkov will organize the work of the military department, the safety of university events, fire safety, security issues, information and anti-terrorism safety. The press release says that the rector of the HSE Nikita Anisimov in connection with the new purposes "looks optimistic into the future."
According to The Insider, the wizes of the last high -profile affairs that the Belgorod FSB was engaged in, was the detention of the former deputy governor of the region Evgeny Glagolev, as well as seven alleged members of the right -winging organization M.K.U., which is associated with Ukraine in the FSB.
In recent years, for various formal reasons, the highest school of economics - one of the largest humanitarian universities in Russia - have been forced to leave several famous teachers, including lawyer Elena Lukyanova, philologist Hasan Huseynov, philosopher Kirill Martynov, who publicly criticized the policy of the Russian authorities. Some of them subsequently founded a free university, which has no official status of a university. Last year, the post of rector was left by Yaroslav Kuzminov, who became the scientific leader of the Higher School of Enterprise for almost 30 years.
In November, it became known about the dismissal of two more teachers - lawyers of Gennady Yesakov and Sergey Pashin, who, as reported, criticized the state of legality and law in Russia.
