The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs on Sunday called the reason why the second day in a row does not work information resources of the traffic police, which is why the issuance of driver’s license and registration of cars are impossible.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs , the cause of the failure was a communal accident in the server premises. "As a result, the servers that stored information arrays through the work line of the traffic inspectorate turned out to be flooded with water," the report said. It emphasizes in it that the reception of citizens on December 19 in the registration and examination units of the State traffic inspectorate is impossible. By evening, the consequences of the accident are promised to be eliminated, and on December 20 it will be declared a working day in all divisions of the traffic police so that citizens can apply for services in them.

The failure in the work of information systems in the regional divisions of the traffic police began on December 18. In different regions of Russia, residents could not get rights or register cars. Also for drivers, access to information on violations of traffic rules was limited. The Ministry of Internal Affairs on the eve stated that we are talking about isolated cases and that citizens who did not receive public services in the traffic police due to a technical failure will be able to do this on December 19.
