"Matrix" that we have lost

Twenty years later the film ceased to be fantastic

I will say right away, this is not a review of the film “Matrix. Resurrection ". I'm not a film critic. This is an attempt to understand how the world has changed in twenty years.

The gloomy visionary teaching of the Vachovsky brothers turned out to be all -conquering. Millennium was the velvet season of the Golden Age of modern civilization, the time of the last generation, which happened to live outside the matrix. Of course, we have not yet been packed in capsules. But only in the physical sense. A scheme in which the functioning of an individual is nothing more than the raw materials on which the algorithms work is already implemented irreversibly. Yes, they feed mainly by cognitive energy, and not banal electricity. (Although miners could reasonably argue with this thesis.) But the very fact is that any of our actions online is fixed, analyzed and then used against us - well, so far just for the sink of the maximum possible amount of money - no longer a reason for discussion.

By the way, those actions that we seem to carry out offline are also digitized and offset.

The main question of the “matrix” is that the original trilogy, that the work of Lana Vachovsky was the question of free will. The modern consumer of this freedom is deprived of.

If, of course, they do not work effectively enough to leave you at least the illusion of choice.

And outside consumption there is no modern person. You can still get out of the matrix, and it is not necessary to even swallow a red pill. But this is an exit to the marginal zone. Here Vachovsky also guessed, although they tried to soften such a painful insight after romanticization. At first it was a legend about the superman at the head of the rebel gang, now the eternal story of all -conquering love. But in reality, Neo will always be a freak (as an option - a successful freak that created a legendary product), and Trinity - a strong woman who dreams of a prince in a black cloak, but living with a bot.

That is, a reason for social optimism is given to us by either films or even more reality.

Of course, if we consider social optimism in that same romantic way when the main task of a person is to gain freedom of will.

But it's time to look at the world through the eyes of an analyst architect, especially since here we can rely on the shoulders of Vachovsky titans.

The visionary message of the new “matrix” is that artificial emotional intelligence is being replaced by artificial intelligence. That is, the ability to construct feelings and control them. And this is much as a more powerful tool for pumping cognitive energy in comparison with the simple construction of beautiful decorations to distract attention.

Analyst from the Matrix. Resurrection ”did not fully deal with this task. But he set it correctly. Including guessing that suffering is the most important of feelings. It cannot be simulated, but it can be constructed with sufficient probability. That is, to create a situation in which it is impossible to suffer. Oh, it is not for nothing that the antagonist is now not an agent of special services (with whom it is even pleasant to beat each other with their hands and feet in the old fashioned way), but a psychoanalyst, that is, a specialist who will always find, what you can get to the bottom of yourself.

Here it is necessary to note the rapprochement of the positions of Vachovsky and Pelevin - I do not presume to say how much this rapprochement is by chance.

But it is in this aspect that the universal potential of the legend about the “matrix” is fully revealed on domestic material. All Russian history, including the latest, as well as the history of great Russian culture, is the history of suffering. We have no equal here, here we are visionaries from God. And our matrix, as it is digitalized from above, will surpass Western analogues, do not hesitate.

And about Neo and Trinity in the final, we know everything. They did not deserve the light. They deserved a flight.
