On December 20, employees of the state security bodies of Russia celebrate their professional holiday. On the reasons for the degradation of the Russian special services, their ideology and class nature, as well as about Chekist traditions in an interview with Republic, the historian of the special services Alexander Kolpakidi, the author of the books “Empire of the GRU”, “Foreign Intelligence of Russia”, “Encyclopedia of Secret Services of Russia”, “100 years of Russian special services” discusses. From the Cheka to the FSB ”and many others.
- Almost three years ago, in one of the public discussions dedicated to the failure of the employees of the GRU Petrov and Boshirov in the UK, you agreed that our special services were degrading. You described them like this: “They look more like bandits, but not to operational employees. The operational employee must be able to say, even the special for whom I personally know, and that intellectual people. True, I was inattentively watched their interviews, because it is impossible to watch without laughter, but this is really beyond reality. The previous ones are also all stories behind the facet of reality. In the Soviet Union, this was not the case. ” Then there was Navalny's poisoning, the oppositionist revealed the names of the poisoners - again a failure. In your opinion, after that, the leadership of our specials with Luzhb made some conclusions to correct the situation?
- The names of those people who were voiced by Navalny as his poisoners were removed from Rosreestr, and now the Russian Federation has officially owned by their apartments. That's all. What else can change? The system has not changed. They will make some kind of cosmetic repairs, they will abuse, remove, new people will be appointed in their place. The problem is that the system, in fact, does not change.
- It is worth mentioning another recent event. The other day, the court in Berlin sentenced the Russian citizen Vadim Krasikov to a life imprisonment on charges of murder of a Georgian citizen Zelimkhan Khangoshvili. Investigators from the Bellingcat project (entered into the register of foreign agents), Der Spiegel magazine and Russian The Insider (entered into the register of foreign agents) found that Krasikov could serve in the Special School of the FSB Vympel. The story caused a diplomatic scandal: the Germans announced the expulsion of two Russian diplomats from the country. And all this is during the period when the Nord Stream 2 project is at stake. Your opinion on this story?
-If this is true, and not a setup of Western special services, then this is not just unprofessionalism, but some kind of madness. Orders on such murders are given at the very top, this may indicate that there are completely “frostbitten”. And if this is a provocation of the Western special services, then why do our media do not expose this whole story in any way, do not refute?
- What, in your opinion, is the degradation of special services?
- The employee goes abroad to fulfill the responsible task and retains the taxi payment check in Moscow. Another sends money for a coup, indicates the address of the special services. These are all cases from the real work of our special services. This is not even a joke.
Take, for example, a story with Skripals. I talked with the veterans of the special services, they convinced me that this is all the provocation of the Western special services. But there are no answers to many questions: what did these two do (Petrov and Boshirov. - Republic ) there at that time, where did they go and where did they go after an interview with Simonyan? They could not even give a normal interview. In Soviet times, there were press conferences with the exposure of some agents. But all this was done without a bitch and a bitch - and now it’s a shame to watch. This all testifies to glaring incompetence.
The only thing they learned well was to turn with the help of propaganda each such case into the secret of the Bermuda triangle. A lot of false information is dumped, in which you can’t catch any truth.
I also want to pay attention to such a problem - in the special services today an extraordinary number of young people, completely green guys. I am tormented by grave doubts that this youth can adequately respond to what is happening. In addition, they are the fruit of our Russian society, where a terrifying poor education. And this, unfortunately, greatly affects them. I do not see there some young people who are more or less developed and there is something to talk about with them, there is no culture and understanding of life-what they will order, then they will do it. I will not say that they are fools, they are just victims of our education. And in the special services they clearly do not grow intellectually. But, probably, it is not necessary there.
Honestly, I myself talked with these guys. They are good, mostly honest, from poor families, major are not going there now. Their motivation is a career and a true piece of bread. Although someone makes it possible to realize their criminal inclinations. As we see in a number of court cases, it is quite possible there.
We live in a society where there is one leading force - it leads, and the rest only fulfill. This is the so -called manual control mode when it all depends on one person. In special services, this principle is pronounced. As a result, this principle leads to failures: this person can be hesitated, distracted, one person cannot adequately respond to all these problems in such a huge country. Therefore, when ordinary employees of the special services do not know what to do, they prefer to do nothing at all. Accordingly, because of this, a lot of problems arise.
