The image sensor will allow the iPhone for the first time to shoot video in 8k format.
Authoritative analyst at Min-Chi Kuo in a note for investors TF International Securities shared new details regarding the future generations of the iPhone.
- One of the key features of the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will be the updated matrix of the main camera with a resolution of 48 megapixels instead of 12 megapixels. According to Kuo, Apple has already placed a large order from the Taiwanese manufacturer Largan Precision.
- An increase in megapixels will not necessarily lead to an increased output resolution of the pictures. According to Kuo, Apple can apply pixel binning technology, as in some Android smartphones.
- In this case, the iPhone 14 Pro will take 48-megapixel photos in good light and 12-megapixel in the dark-to maintain quality and get rid of noise.
- The video will be adapted for viewing on the AR/VR-heading Apple, which is just prescribed by 8K displays.
- Long -term forecast: at least one iPhone 15 model will receive periscope, which will allow significant improvement of optical zoom.
- Now the iPhone 13 Pro cameras are limited by a three -fold optical increase. Kuo notes that the new lens uses a complex lens system for refracting light, but will retain a relatively compact design.
