Parents of a nine-year-old girl who entered Moscow State University accused the psychology department of “unprecedented bullying”

The parents of nine-year-old Alisa Teplyakova, who was admitted to Moscow State University, accused the psychology department where their daughter studies of “violating the law and unprecedented bullying.”

The open letter from the Teplyakovs was published in LiveJournal, and the Dozhd TV channel drew attention to it. RIA Novosti and Moskovsky Komsomolets wrote that the account where the letter was published belongs to the Teplyakovs.

The appeal lists violations that, in the opinion of the Teplyakovas, were committed against their daughter starting from the first days of her studies at Moscow State University. In particular, it is stated that Teplyakova's father never received a response to his request for a pass to the university grounds, the parents still have no information about Alisa's transfer to an individual curriculum and its content, and there is no contact with the faculty's teachers.

In addition, the Teplyakovs accuse the faculty of psychology of “psychological pressure” on their daughter during the exam, of disseminating “false information” and disclosing the child’s personal data without the consent of her legal representatives.

We ask the regulatory authorities, including Rosobrnadzor, Rospotrebnadzor, Roskomnadzor, as well as the Moscow and Russian children's rights ombudsmen and law enforcement agencies, to intervene in this situation, give a legal assessment of the actions of the employees of the Faculty of Psychology of Moscow State University, hold officials accountable in accordance with the law, and protect the rights of minors.

• Alisa Teplyakova was homeschooled from the age of four. At the age of eight, she passed the Unified State Exam in Russian, mathematics, biology and computer science and received a certificate. When entering Moscow State University, she was unable to score enough points to study at the expense of the state budget, but she entered the fee-paying department.
• In September, when Teplyakova began studying at Moscow State University, it was reported that her father had begun to clash with his daughter's classmates in closed chat rooms where students communicate. Moscow State University then stated that no "official or unofficial" complaints about Teplyakov's behavior had been received by the dean's office.
• On December 21, it was reported that the father of Alisa Teplyakova, who was unable to take the exam that day, made a scene and attacked the head of the department. MSU staff called the police. The next day, Teplyakov announced that he had filed a police report about the illegal detention of a child during an exam.
