A court in Voronezh arrested for a day a participant in the meeting of the “Free People of Voronezh”

The Central District Court of Voronezh arrested Yuri Avsenev for a day, who was detained after a meeting of the Free People of Voronezh. This was reported by the coordinator of legal assistance OVD-Info Alexandra Tsarvulanova.

Avsenev was detained on December 25, when he was on his way to a bus stop after a meeting at which the participants summed up the year and recorded a video. The man was charged with a repeated violation of the rules for participating in the action (part 8 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) and left at the police station for the night.

The court took into account the days spent in the department. Avsenev was released from the courtroom. His lawyer from OVD-Info, Nikita Isaev, defended him.
