Security forces searched the former head of Navalny's Irkutsk headquarters and took him away for interrogation.

In Irkutsk, the former coordinator of Navalny’s local headquarters, Zakhar Sarapulov, was searched, and he was taken away for questioning to the Investigative Committee. This was reported by the Irkutsk Insider publication.

“In the morning his mother came to see him, but they didn’t let her in. Lately he has written a lot about government procurement, protests against QR codes, and he has a media outlet called Irkutsk Insider. Previously, he was summoned to the Investigative Committee about working for Navalny’s headquarters, ” Sarapulov’s ally Pavel Kharitonenko told @Sibirmedia.

Sarapulov’s girlfriend Alexandra Shinkareva told the Camel on Fire publication that the security forces arrived at 6-7 o’clock in the morning. “They checked everything - not only his room, but also his mother’s room, all the closets, everything that was possible. Now Zakhar is in the Investigative Committee, we are trying to find a lawyer who will work with him. <…> So far there is no connection with him, we don’t know what’s happening to him. <…> An investigator called his father, and that’s how we found out that he was with the Investigative Committee,” she added.

Sarapulov founded the publication Irkutsk Insider after the crackdown. In June, the Moscow City Court recognized the headquarters as an extremist organization and banned their activities. At the end of September, the Investigative Committee opened a case about an extremist community against Alexei Navalny and his associates.
