Deputy Rashkin was deprived of his license for 1.5 years due to refusal to take an intoxication test when detained with a butchered elk carcass

The magistrate of court district No. 1 of the Lysogorsk district of the Saratov region deprived the rights of State Duma deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Valery Rashkin for a year and a half and fined him 30 thousand rubles. this with reference to the press service of the court. reports Interfax

The communist was charged with refusing to undergo a medical examination for intoxication (Part 1 of Article 12.26 of the Administrative Code).

Rashkin was detained on the evening of October 28 in a forest in Saratov. A butchered elk carcass was found in his car. The deputy was accused of illegal hunting (Part 2 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code). He insisted that "the scale of the scandal is not proportional to the gravity of the act". Rashkin was stripped of his parliamentary immunity. As a preventive measure, he was prohibited from leaving the house at night, hunting, using the Internet and communicating with witnesses in the case.
