The Samara District Court suspended the status of “foreign agent” for the coordinator of the local branch, Lyudmila Kuzmina. this in a telegram channel The head of the international human rights group "Agora" Pavel Chikov reported with reference to lawyer Vladimir Krasikov.
Kuzmina is appealing in court the decision of the Ministry of Justice, which recognized her as a “foreign agent” by the media.
“The suspension of status means that Kuzmina will not fulfill the duties imposed by the law on foreign agents until the court decision on the claim against the Ministry of Justice comes into force,” Chikov noted.
Previously, similar decisions were made by courts in Moscow and Pskov: journalists Sergei Markelov and Lyudmila Savitskaya , whom the Ministry of Justice also included in the list of media “foreign agents,” could temporarily not put the appropriate label on their publications and not comply with other requirements of the law.
