A supporter of “Citizens of the USSR” from the Chelyabinsk region was arrested for six days

On December 21, the Nyazepetrovsky District Court of the Chelyabinsk Region arrested Dmitry Petukhov, a supporter of Citizens of the USSR, for six days under the article on inciting hatred and enmity (Article 20.3.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). This is reported by Znak, information about the case is published on the website of the court.

According to the publication, Petukhov sent papers published by the “Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR” to the departments of the Nyazepetrovsky district, including “propaganda of activities to revive the former state of the USSR and the illegitimacy of the existing state authorities.”

• In the summer of 2019, the Supreme Court of the Komi Republic recognized the Union of Slavic Forces of Russia, the USSR, as an extremist organization. He considered that the activities of this association are aimed at forcibly changing the foundations of the constitutional order and violating the integrity of the Russian Federation. The FSB, in turn, allegedly found branches of this organization in 30 regions of the country. According to the law enforcement agency, the Union of Slavic Forces of Russia in 2018 consisted of 150,000 people.
• "Citizens of the USSR" is a movement uniting fighters for the restoration of the rights of citizens of the USSR. The followers of the organization believe that the Union continues to exist, and the Russian Federation is a "trading company". Some of the Citizens of the USSR participants renounce any ties with Russia as a state, for example, do not sign any documents, notify local authorities of the need to vacate their posts.
