The Russian government allocated 3 billion rubles for the construction of ITMO Hipark in the city of Yuzhny in the Pushkin district. As the “paper” was told at the university, the corresponding order was signed by Mikhail Mishustin. By the end of the year, the university will receive another 2 billion from the St. Petersburg budget.
The funds allocated by the Russian government will be sent to the construction of the main educational building, dormitories, a student club and communal infrastructure facilities, the university noted. Money from the city budget will be spent on the development of infrastructure.
As explained to ITMO Hypark, now work on the construction of engineering infrastructure is being carried out at the facility. In 2022, it is planned to begin the construction of the main building and student dormitories-they want to complete work by mid-2024.
ITMO HIIPARK will become a campus of ITMO University. His concept was developed by the Bureau "Studio 44" by Nikita Yavein. The campus will be built in the form of a single space where you can combine training, scientific activity and living.
