Apple became the first company in history to reach $3 trillion. Investors have been waiting for this moment since the end of 2021.
At the first trading session of the new year on the New York Stock Exchange, Apple shares rose by 5% by 21:45 Moscow time, breaking the coveted mark of $182.86 per share, at which the company's capitalization reached $3 trillion. So far, no one in history has been able to do this.
By 22:00 Moscow time, Apple shares have slightly corrected and are worth $182.4, which corresponds to a capitalization of $2.995 trillion.
The second largest company in the US at the moment is Microsoft ($2.51 trillion), the third is Amazon ($1.93 trillion). Amazon is worth $1.73 trillion, Elon Musk's Tesla is worth $1.13 trillion.
